Hey guys it’s Greg with Apple Explainedand today we’re taking a look at five stylish Apple Watch bands for under $20.
Now I received these bands from Elobeth andI’d like to thank them for sponsoring this video.
I receive a lot of emails from companies askingme to review their products, but I usually turn them down because the product doesn’tappear to be good quality or it isn’t something I think you guys would be particularly interestedin.
But I was excited to review these Apple Watchbands since they’re extremely popular on Amazon with great reviews and the Sports Strapmodel actually earned the Amazon’s choice badge.
If you want to see these bands for yourself, you can find links in the description to Elobeth’s website and their Amazon store, but I shouldmention that if you register an account on their website, you’ll get 20% off on anypurchase over $15.
So let’s get into the unboxing and review.
Right off the bat we see some nice qualitypackaging especially with the Modern strap, which surprised me quite a bit consideringthe affordable price of these bands.
Starting with the Modern strap we see nicegraphics on the front of the box, these wood-like line patterns on the sides, and detailed informationon the back that includes the grade of its stainless steel, advice about caring for leather, and instructions for cleaning the leather band.
So yes, this band is made out of real leatherand it’ll need to be cleaned and conditioned regularly just like any other genuine leatherproduct.
You open the box by pulling on this clothtab and the cardboard insert slides right out.
As you can see, the sides of the cardboardinsert have the same wood pattern as the box which is a nice detail, and the back mentionsElobeth’s 18 month warranty and more information about the company can be found at the bottom.
Sitting inside the box is the rustic leatherApple Watch band itself held in place by a couple elastic bands which makes removingthem quite easy.
The strap features a nice orangish-brown leatherthat’s also available in black, and the beige stitching adds a classy touch.
It’s very comfortable and light on my wristand does a great job of keeping my Apple Watch in place without sliding around.
The black steel hardware and black edges lookgreat with my space gray Apple Watch and the lugs sit flush with the watch just like anApple-branded strap.
You may find the leather to be a bit stiffwhen putting it on your wrist for the first time, but the band does become more flexiblewith repeated use.
It’s fun to change the watch faces to matchthe color of the band and gives it a more seamless and stylish feel.
Considering the price point of $16.99, I’mimpressed with Elobeth’s ability to deliver such a high quality band with stitched genuineleather.
Next we have the silicon sport strap whichis available in many different colors, I got the red version, and this strap is pricedat just $12.99.
Now I should mention that the sports strapcomes in the green and black style packaging even if you ordered a different color.
So don’t panic when you see the box as thestrap inside will be the correct color you ordered.
So this Sports Strap is the model featuredby Amazon and for good reason.
The silicon is soft and flexible which makesit the most comfortable strap out of all five.
But it also has a unique feature that makesit perfect for working out.
It serves as not only a strap for your AppleWatch, but also a protective bumper case.
The black border here is actually a hardenedpiece of plastic which adds some structural integrity to the silicon and actually protectsthe Apple Watch against bumps.
Something that happens to me most often whileweight lifting.
So having this extra protection brought mepeace of mind and I actually enjoyed this strap so much that I ordered a second onein black and gray to keep in my gym bag. Next is the stainless steel band which comesin at $19.88.
It’s a nice, premium band perfect for anyonewho works in an office or other professional settings, and it comes in black, silver, orrose gold.
Now I haven’t worn stainless steel bandsfor a few reasons, they have a tendency to pull my arm hair, slide around on my wrist, and be very frustrating to adjust since you typically have to use a tool to remove andadd links.
But this band changed my mind about stainlesssteel.
I didn’t have any issues with arm hairsgetting caught and removing links was unbelievably easy since I could do it by hand.
There are small black toggle switches on theback of each removable link so all you have to do is slide the switch, and the band separates.
you can remove individual links the sameway and reattach the band after you’ve found a length that fits best. This is a killer feature that I wish was usedby more stainless steel bands.
also didn’t slide around on my wristtoo much since it fit nice and snug, and I really appreciated the premium look and solidbuild quality.
Next we’re going to look at my favoriteday-to-day strap out of all five and that’s this leather crazy horse strap which is thesame price as the stainless steel band at $19.88.
What I love about it is how soft and pliableit is even though its made from real leather.
It’s super easy to put on and it almostfeels a bit stretchy which makes it way more comfortable than I expected.
It goes without saying that this strap isa very stylish with nice stitching that emphasizes its unique midsection and frames the AppleWatch beautifully.
It has a cutout in the middle here so thewatch’s sensor array still makes contact with your skin and the opening is even largeenough to allow charging the Apple Watch with the strap attached.
Now the last one I have here is the LeatherBuckle Cuff Strap and it’s clear that Elobeth was going for a premium Hermes-sort’ve lookand I think they did a great job with the design.
The leather has a more traditional feel thanthe flexible crazy horse strap and the all-over stitching adds a nice touch of contrast.
This strap also has a cutout that allows theApple Watch sensors to come in contact with your skin and to charge.
There’s something a little unique aboutthis design, though, it has two strap retainers that provide a really secure hold and preventthe extra strap length from getting caught on anything like your pants when reachinginto your pocket.
